Abbey show ongoing commitment to the Environment and Sustainability by Recycling
Abbey Business Equipment have shown their ongoing commitment to the Environment and Sustainability by recycling over 2600kg of packaging in 2010. View our latest certificate online.
In addition to the packaging recycled last year, Abbey also recycle all cardboard cartons similar to the those used to transport toners and last year we recycled on average 200 - 250kg per week. This equates to around 10,000kg per year.

Landfill Tax increase
There's more reason than ever to find an alternative waste disposal system than landfill. As of April 2010 Central Government increased the Landfill Tax levied on each tonne of waste that is sent to landfill from £40 to £48 per tonne. Skip companies pass this cost on (plus a bit more) and so your waste disposal costs will increase by at least 20% even if you're throwing away the same amount of waste.
